please post how did you prepare..I want to take the same exam
Hey Archana, there were 2 elements to my preparation. First is hand-on work experience. I have been working with SharePoint for 3 years (2003, 2007 & 2010) and this certainly helped. I don’t recommend doing the exam without some reasonable development experience with SharePoint, as there are many tricks and “undocumented features” you need to know with this platform.
Secondly, I read Sahil Malik’s book: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-SharePoint-2010-Solutions-Professionals/dp/1430228652/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1313501941&sr=1-1. I read each page and played around with with each example in the book. It took me 4-5 months to read this book from cover to cover.
There is this other book that apparently is coming up: http://www.amazon.com/SharePoint-2010-Developers-Certification-Toolkit/dp/0470912340/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1313501601&sr=1-1 – it should be good when it comes out.
To be honest, the exam wasn’t that hard. With some reasonable development experience and familiarity with the platform and you should be fine.
